The Specific Parts that Has Struck Me The Most

After watching the videos, I learned a lot more about Health Informatics. I think the video that piqued my interest is the Ted Talk in Indiana University that was conducted by Dr. Fred Cate. It was an excellent lecture on an immensely important topic. Dr. Fred Cate's lecture is about the present method of data privacy. He examines the role of consent in data protection and privacy now, struggling with how we handle consent in a community where data about us is constantly implicit. He emphasizes the importance of asking for consent in a significant and efficient manner in a chaotic world.

Aaron Black's talk also left a mark to me. The incorporation of data analytics and artificial intelligence into health care system is just what allows health care services and the profession of health informatics so compelling. While some may object to the integration of new advanced technology into healthcare, I respectfully disagree with them. The utilization of electronic medical/health records has been progressing, and it is necessary to remember that computers and other apps can store vast amounts of data. That instead of trying to find through stack of folders of info, this helps make it faster and easier to locate a person's medical history/health. Generally speaking, these tools benefit not only healthcare but also public health.
